Dating By Design – Book #2

From the back cover:

According to Binary Search’s matchmaking service, Meg and Zander’s odds of ever having a successful relationship are statistically improbable. Meg has run the numbers and knows the probability, but for some reason she can’t quit thinking about her coworker, Zander—the self-proclaimed eternal bachelor.

To make matters more interesting, Zander approaches her with an unusual proposition. He’s in need of a pretend girlfriend. Meg thinks this could be the answer to get him out of her system, and maybe knock the arrogant man down a few notches in the process. But what she doesn’t realize is there is more to this man, something he carefully hides behind his arrogant exterior. And when her feelings begin to be anything but pretend, she knows the odds of getting hurt are more than probable.

Will they let the odds overcome them, or will they find that all the reasons they are wrong for each other are exactly what make them a perfect fit?

What I loved about this book:

I’m starting to accept that as long as I keep picking up Jennifer Peel books at night, I’ll probably never sleep again. And I’m almost okay with it. I love every book I read by her more than the last (So far that is: How to Get Over Your Ex in 90 Days and Professional Boundaries). This time, I’m not sure if I can love a book MORE.

Meg is smart and beautiful, and oh so up for the challenge of giving the King of Arrogance a run for his money.

Zander might pretend to be a playboy, but shows respect and consideration, being deep down sweet throughout the book.
Sleep? Because of Zander and me (I mean, Meg), I barely miss you.

Why I  Recommend this book:

This book is full of Southern wedding planning, romantic chemistry, cleaning inspiration (Zander’s apartment, and Meg’s cleaning spree at the ranch) and the Nanettes (the awesomeness must be experienced). It is a sweet love story (both in the awesome and the aww meanings of the word). Don’t miss this one.

a1wfaz8oatl-_ux250_Jennifer Peel is the award-winning bestselling author of the Dating by Design and Women of Merryton series, as well as several other contemporary romances. Though she lives and breathes writing, her first love is her family. She is the mother of three amazing kiddos and has recently added the title of mother-in-law, with the addition of two terrific sons-in-law.  She’s been married to her best friend and partner in crime for a lot longer than seems possible. Some of her favorite things are late night talks, beach vacations, the mountains, pink bubble gum ice cream, tours of model homes, and Southern living. She can frequently be found with her laptop on, fingers typing away, indulging in chocolate milk, and writing out the stories that are constantly swirling through her head.

Disclaimer: I read this book via KindleUnlimited. Starting it after second shift, probably wasn’t super smart. Current bedtime: 5:30am. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

And… the world at large (that is my boss, my needs-to-be-cleaned-living-room, and anyone who might consider starting a conversation with me) hopes I get in a nap. Outlook: Not so good.
